Remote viewing has limits
The project begins with frames, identifiers, scale, metadata and the missing edges of online collection images. It uses responsible sources for names, dates, materials, provenance, restoration and visitor information.
Keep the object attached
Direct observation, museum-supplied information and later interpretation remain distinct. This keeps a note useful after a collection page, image viewer or display route changes and prevents a zoomed crop from replacing the object.
Independent and static
Online Egypt is not an official museum guide and has no museum affiliation. It provides no forms, accounts, advertising, analytics, tickets, bookings or products. Site assets load locally until a reader chooses an external source.
Corrections
Collection records and visitor information change. Confirm current details with the responsible institution and append dated corrections without erasing the original viewing condition.
